Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 100/20 Solar Charge Controller
A solar charger is powered by solar panels and then stores it in batteries. Using the latest and fastest technology, the SmartSolar maximizes this energy harvest and intelligently directs it to fully charge the batteries in as little time as possible. The SmartSolar maintains the functionality of the battery and thus extends its lifespan.
The SmartSolar charge controller will even recharge a heavily discharged battery. It can work with a battery voltage as low as 0 volts, provided the cells are not permanently sulfated or otherwise damaged.

Ultra-fast maximum power point tracking (MPPT)
Especially when the sky is overcast and the light intensity is constantly changing, an extremely fast MPPT controller improves the energy yield by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Load output
Deep discharge of the battery can be prevented by connecting all loads to the load output. The load output disconnects the
loads when the battery has been discharged to a specified voltage value.

Battery Life: intelligent battery management
If the solar charge controller is not able to charge the battery to its full capacity within a day, the status of the battery
constantly changes back and forth between "partially charged" and "end of discharge". This mode of operation (not regularly charging to full capacity) will damage a lead-acid battery in a matter of weeks or months.
The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the battery's state of charge and, if necessary, raises the load disconnect threshold
(i.e., disconnects the load earlier) day by day until the energy harvested is sufficient to charge the battery to near 100%. At this point, the load disconnect threshold is modulated so that near 100% charge is achieved approximately once a week.

Option of external battery voltage and temperature measurement via Bluetooth
A Smart Battery Sense or a BMV-712 Smart Battery Monitor can be used to transmit the battery voltage and temperature data to one or more SmartSolar charge controllers.
Recovery function for fully discharged batteries
Will initiate charging even if the battery has been discharged to zero volts.
Will reconnect to a fully discharged lithium-ion battery with internal disconnect function.
