What is the TD2TC WiFi temperature data logger?
The TD2TC is a WiFi temperature data logger with two inputs for interchangeable type K or type T thermocouple probes. It records temperatures at freely configurable intervals and transfers the measurements via WiFi to the ThermaData software. This makes it a flexible alternative to traditional LAN thermometers and wired temperature recorders.
What temperature ranges can the ThermaData WiFi TD2TC measure?
The usable temperature range depends on the connected thermocouple probes. The logger supports:
type K thermocouples typically from around –100 to +1372 °C, and
type T thermocouples from approx. –100 to +400 °C.

Which thermocouple probes can I connect?

How does data transmission via WiFi work?
The ThermaData WiFi TD2TC connects to your WiFi router. At the configured logging interval, the logger:
stores the readings in its internal memory
synchronises the data via WiFi with the ThermaData software or server
In this way, you can set up a complete wireless temperature monitoring system with multiple WiFi data loggers.
What happens if the WiFi connection is lost?
If the WiFi or connection to the router is temporarily interrupted, the WiFi temperature data logger continues to record. The TD2TC provides internal memory for up to 18,000 readings (2 × 9,000 per channel).
As soon as the connection is restored, the stored data is synchronised automatically – so no readings are lost.
Which alarm functions does the ETI ThermaData WiFi TD2TC offer?
You can define high and low alarm limits for each channel. If these limits are exceeded or undershot:
a red LED on the device indicates the alarm status
depending on the ThermaData solution used, the software can be configured to trigger notifications (e.g. pop-ups or emails)
This makes the logger suitable for HACCP-compliant temperature monitoring in many applications.
What applications is the TD2TC WiFi data logger suitable for?

How long does the battery last in the temperature data logger?
The TD2TC is typically powered by 2 × AA batteries. Depending on the logging interval and WiFi signal quality, the practical battery life is around up to 12 months.
For critical applications, it is advisable to monitor the battery status in the software and plan regular replacement intervals.
Is a calibration certificate included?
Many versions of the ETI ThermaData WiFi TD2TC are supplied with a traceable calibration certificate or can be ordered with one as an option.
This allows the temperature data logger to be integrated easily into quality-critical processes (e.g. pharma, food, ISO/HACCP).
Can I reuse existing thermocouple probes?
As long as your existing probes:
are type K or type T, and
match the plug/connector type used by the TD2TC,
they can usually be reused. However, for optimum accuracy, it is recommended to calibrate the logger and probes together.
Is the ThermaData WiFi TD2TC compatible with other ThermaData WiFi loggers?
Yes. The ThermaData Studio software can manage multiple ThermaData WiFi loggers (e.g. TD, TD1F, TD2F, HTD, etc.) at the same time.
This allows you to build mixed systems with WiFi temperature data loggers for different locations and accuracy requirements.
Can I use the WiFi data logger as a mobile WLAN thermometer?
Yes, the TD2TC can also be used temporarily as a mobile WiFi thermometer – for example for short-term measurement campaigns or validation tasks. The display shows current temperature, min/max values, WiFi status and battery level on site, while the data is recorded and stored in your system in parallel.
